We got her home in spite of a horrible rain and lighting storm, with winds up to 70 miles an hour. Talk about wishing we were home! We tried to find a place to pull over and wait the storm out, but couldn’t find a place that we’d fit with the trailer. We made it ok and no damage to us or the stang or the truck. The pictures don’t really do her justice, think about a candy apple at the state fair and you’ll have just the perfect ideal of the real color. We like the felts, new tires and painting the rims to have her all finished, but I can’t wait to take her out for a drive. Josh and I are going to the playday tonight to help his Mom and I think we’ll take the Mustang. By the way, after due consideration, I think I’ll name her Reba, after all, she’s red, hot and very distinctive. I’ll see if it sticks. Below is a picture of me and Josh, I don’t know if you can tell, but my hair isn’t gray, sort of a brownish red, I need to touch up the color I guess.

I must tell you that I usually look a little better, we’d been in the shop finishing up with Reba , so I’m a little worse for the wear, besides it was windy!
The first place I’m taking a drive to after we get the tires is down to Peggy Sue’s, a 50’s diner in Denison, Tx. I know that Reba is a little younger than the cars that usually go with that vintage place, but after all she is a classic and the food is good. My friend told me we’d have to find a parade to drive in, I don’t know about that, but I am going to pick Josh up at school one day. He gets such a kick out of the fact that he will soon have a classic of his own–his will be black and chromy, a real chick magnet! Thank goodness that these cars have really small back seats and the front has buckets. Tony want to know if I’d let him drive her sometime, he thought even he might get a date in that car! I told him I wasn’t sure about the date thing—but since he WAS nice enough to fix her up for me I was sure he deserved to get to take her out every once in a while, IF he was nice. I’m looking forward to getting her out and about, let me tell you the wait was worth it.
