Busy,

working on my mustang, we took it to the paint shop this week and should have it back in a couple.  Then all I have to do is get the trim on it and I’ll be stylin down the road.  I’ll be posting pictures just as soon as it is done.  You all won’t know me, I’ve colored my hair, it’s a soft brown, and I cut it short.  I’ve promised Josh I’ll give him a few rides and maybe even let him try driving my car, practice for his you know.              He has grown so much this summer, he’s still working like crazy on his baseball, he wants to make the school 7-8th  grade ball team so bad.  I think he should have no problem, he can really hit the ball and he’s not a bad pitcher, and he is tuned up at the infield positions, so he is sharp.  I know I’m his Granny, but he really is pretty good.  He’s been running every morning and has talked his Papa out of the treadmill we never use, so he can run when the weather is bad.    I’m still struggling with getting motivated and exercising, I’m doing pretty well not eating too much, having a garden with fresh veggies has been a help.  But I’m still bouncing up and down from 187 to 193, seems like I’ve lost those 5-6 pounds 20 times!  I’m not giving up, and I am going to do more about getting up off my butt and moving!  I have to lose and keep some of this weight off.

Aggravation, irritation and eating…..

adds up to weigh gain!! Imagine that!  I still haven’t learned not to eat when I’m upset or mad.  I just had my 60th birthday, don’t you think I would have learned by now?  Guess not,  My problems are not big ones, they are pretty minor in fact.  I just need to learn how to cope with this stuff without running to the kitchen and grabbing the comfort food.  Oh well, back to the drawing board and the best I can say is thank goodness it is time for the garden to be coming on and I have lots of fresh , healthy stuff to eat.  You know I did so well while we were away from home, that is when I really thought I might gain, little did I know.  RATS!!

We won’t be going to Weatherford after all—-

unfortunately the team lost their last game.  Placing 2nd in region 4 isn’t too shabby though.  The kids played hard and had fun and after all that is why they are supposed to be playing ball.  Josh only has 4 weeks until school starts and he won’t be resting, he’ll be keeping in shape for school ball.  I told you all that Silo is a baseball school!  I was so glad to get back home and my puppies really read me the riot act about being gone.  I missed you all and have been checking up on every one.  Now it’s back to work and getting my but in gear, got to get in that exercise!

Xtreme Update

Well, the boys had a bad start to the tournament, lost their first game.  One of the players cut his foot(5 stitches) and was hobbled, and one of the kids lost his temper and threw his helmet and got ejected from the game.  A misunderstanding of a rule about designated hitter, left us with only 8 kids playing and it’s hard to win one man short.  Josh did get a hit in the game and started a rally, then  right after that was when the kid got thrown out and every thing when downhill.  But, they played last night and won that game, the kid with the cut foot played 1st (not much moving)  and we tuned up their bats and the run ruled the other team in the 4th inning.  Josh got 3 doubles and 1 ground out and 4 rbi’s and scored 2 and made one really good out in the field.  So he had a really good night!  I bought him a T-shirt he wanted really bad a while back, it has new bat $390, new glove $150, new cleats $95–seeing you move out of my way—PRICELESS,  on the back.  I told him that was a pretty big brag and he couldn’t wear it until he did something to earn it.  Well, he wore it to dinner last night!  You should have seen his eyes light up when we told him to get it out.  HA!  Have another tough game tonight at 6 and if we win we turn around and play at 8.  It has been hot, and hotter, we have one of those pop up canopies and it has been wonderful.  Any shade helps.  We came home to check on everything last night and are going back up this afternoon.  Hope we will be staying the night and playing tomorrow,  we’ll see.  I’m afraid the boys don’t have much of a chance to win the whole thing—one of the teams there is really tough, looks like all the kids are older and we know they have played 70+ games this year, and they have stayed in the winners bracket so the have the advantage there–haven’t had to use as many of their pitchers.  I hope the team gets the chance to play them anyway.    I’ve done pretty good not pigging out while we’ve been away from home, I think I’ve sweated off an extra pound or two!  Hope everyone had a great 4th and you can stay cool.
