Hope you all have a happy and safe halloween.  We live so far off the road that we don’t get any treat or treaters.  We also don’t the house wrapped or the yard trashed up.  In fact we had lived out so long that I had to take our daughter down to her grandmother’s in Richardson, TX so she could go trick or treating!   This is my grandson’s favorite time of the year, so we always decorated the house and yard  for him, sadly, he is out growing all of this.  

Can I brag?  Here in OK we have a “special” youth hunt, and Josh, 11 years, got a doe and a really nice 8 point 185lb buck.  That’s a big deer in these parts.  He was so proud, but not as proud as his Papa!

Sunday is my mom’s 80th birthday, and I’m going to East TX to celebrate with family and friends.  She lives in an assisted living home, and we are having a party for her there.  I’ll be leaving Friday.  I’m looking forward to seeing all my family as I’m the only one that is out of pocket, everyone else lives with in a hour or so of each other.    I haven’t lost enough weight for anyone to notice yet, but I hope by Christmas they will. 

Being here on this site has  helped me, having someone to  talk to and knowing that you guys have the same issues that I do really seems to make a difference.   I’m more motivated to exercise and watch what I eat now.  I think it’s reporting in and letting you all know how it’s going.  Anyway I’m glad I found this site and thanks to all of you for your support.
